#goosebumps! In a world where civilization is said to have overtaken certain believes and cultures as wives tending to their husbands, a teen believes the “old” way is still the right way.
Langley 19 caused an uproar on twitter with her tweet about how she would treat her future husband and the kind of wife she would be to him. She tweets, “call me old fashioned, but i was raised to take care of my husband
make his plate every night, wash his work clothes for him, make sure he’s up for work the next morning, always have a clean house for him to come home to, etc.
and that’s exactly wife i will be”

Her tweet which wasn’t intended to draw such emotional concerns ended up with diverse comments from twitters. Some slammed her:
Sooooo do you get to pursue any hobbies or passions or is your full time job being a mother to a fully grown adult man?

I'll be honest. I would love to have a home cooked meal waiting for me after a long day at work, but the rest of it sounds more like being married to your mom. Making sure he gets up on time? Washing his clothes?

While others supported her standpoint:
i thought feminism was abt letting women have the power to choose? as far as i can tell this lady aint trying to push her agenda on anyone. its just her own values affecting her own life.

@_brylealangley Thank you for knowing what you want, and not being afraid to express it, especially in this environment of hating differing views. May you find someone to love that fulfills your hopes.

Despite the controversial reactions she got, Langley maintained her opinion, saying it was the right thing to do. “my momma has been doin it for over 20 years now, that’s what i saw growing up and that’s what i believe is right.” she tweeted.
She also added that her being “appreciative” of her husband does not stop her from pursuing her own career.
i’m going into nursing school, i’ll have a career and i’ll be able to take care of my own just fine. i was just saying these are the kind of gestures i will be doing for my husband to show my own appreciation for him. nowhere in any of that did i claim to want to be a housewife.
