The 66th Grammy Awards ceremony didn’t go down well with some of the nominees who were nominated and didn’t win the nomination for their categories. One of such artist is the R&B singer, Chris Brown who lost his nominations to Robert Glasper for his album Black Radio III.

The American singer who has been nominated twenty one times and thus far won a Grammy for Best R&B Album, made a direct attack on the winner of the best R&B category this year in his Instagram account. “Y’all playing. Who da f— is this?” Brown wrote on his Instagram story, with a series of cry-laughing emojis.

He however, apologized later in less than 24 hours later and after a social media slew, “Congratulations my brother.. I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys.. you were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean. After doing my research I actually think your amazing…THE ORGANIZATION ISN’T DOING US BLACKS OUR DUE DILIGENCE. YOU AND I SHOULD never be in the same [category].. two totally different vibes and genres. So from one black man to another.. CONGRATULATIONS. HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO FEED YOUR FAMILY FOR LIFE. God bless my G.”

Brown’s lone nomination came courtesy of his 10th studio album, Breezy (Deluxe). The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 72,000 album equivalent units and included features from Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, H.E.R., and more

In an interview, he gave a word of encouragement to all the great artists out there who didn’t make it to the Grammys via nominations and winnings that they are the real winners so long as their songs get streams a million times more more.
